Senior Finance Accountant

About the Role

Manufacturing company is seeking a motivated Accountant with strong general ledger experience in a manufacturing environment who is eager to expand into finance responsibilities. This role goes beyond traditional accounting, it’s an opportunity to get exposure to business analysis, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration with leaders across the company.

Key Responsibilities

Own day-to-day general ledger accounting, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting.

Analyze GL accounts and ensure accurate mapping to the appropriate P&L accounts.

Partner with business unit leaders to provide financial insights and ensure reporting accuracy.

Assist with inventory and cost accounting analysis, including review of account mappings and opportunities to strategically manage inventory (e.g., tariffs, seasonal buying patterns).

Support development of business intelligence dashboards and reporting (Power BI, Alteryx, or similar tools).

Contribute to ERP system accounting processes and reporting improvements.

Qualifications

3–5 years of GL accounting experience (manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred).

Strong foundation in financial reporting and analysis; interest in growing into finance or FP&A responsibilities.

Cost accounting experience a plus.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365; advanced Excel skills required.

Familiarity with business intelligence tools (Power BI, Alteryx, etc.) highly valued.

Strong communication skills; comfortable engaging with business unit leaders and cross-functional teams.
