Medical Coding Team Lead

A company is looking for a Medical Coding Team Lead.

Key Responsibilities

Assign and sequence ICD-10 and CPT codes accurately, ensuring maximum reimbursement and minimal denials

Collaborate with providers to clarify documentation for coding purposes and monitor regulatory changes in coding

Provide guidance to team members, manage performance metrics, and oversee team time management and recruitment efforts

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED

3-5 years of experience in medical coding and auditing

Nationally recognized coding credential (e.g., CPC, COC, CCS) through AHIMA / AAPC

Understanding of CPT, HCPCS, CDT, and ICD-10 codes

Experience in professional / outpatient physician and / or multi-specialty coding preferred
