Job Title : Truck Mechanic

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Truck Mechanic to join our fleet maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of heavy-duty trucks and trailers. This role ensures our fleet operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with DOT regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) on tractors and trailers.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools and software.
• Inspect and service brakes, tires, suspension systems, and drivetrains.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repairs using fleet management systems.
• Ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and company safety standards.
• Support shop cleanliness, safety protocols, and inventory control.
• Participate in ongoing training and certification programs.

Work Environment

Work in a well-equipped shop with a focus on safety and cleanliness. The shift schedule is Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 7 pm to 5 : 30 am. The role requires working with diesel, mechanical systems, and performing tasks without the need for engine or transmission repair experience.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of NA, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00 / hr.
