Manufacturing Engineer

Overview

CAPT is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. PLEASE NOTE, THIS IS NOT A DESIGN ENGINEER POSITION

CAPT masters the art of melting, casting, and machining aluminum to produce high-quality aluminum products that become part of Honda engines noted for efficient operation, reduced friction, higher output, and better gas mileage. CAPT also supplies the Electric Vehicle market through our chassis parts enhancements.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate manufacturing processes by conducting research programs while applying knowledge of products, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials.
• Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods by observing and working on the production floor. Make adjustments to equipment and help maintain it.
• Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout; design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
• Analyze workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow; provide manufacturing decision-making information by calculating labor and material costs.
• Prepare product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Coordinate with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchases of equipment, materials, or parts; evaluate products according to specifications and quality standards.
• Maintain product and company reputation by complying with government regulations.
• Keep equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; maintain product and process databases.
• Make written and verbal presentations to management.
