Technical Writer

We are seeking a Technical Writer with a strong electrical engineering background to join our dynamic team. This role is critical to supporting documentation efforts for major aerospace programs. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience in electronics, circuit design, and aerospace standards, and will be responsible for producing high‑quality technical documentation that meets FAA and industry requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), technical manuals, and engineering change reports.
• Translate complex electrical engineering concepts into clear, concise documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to document changes such as component replacements on PCBs due to supply chain constraints.
• Interpret and annotate electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and system layouts.
• Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, EMI standards, and aerospace documentation protocols.
• Support documentation for low‑voltage motor systems, voltage spike mitigation, and circuit board revisions.
• Manage multiple documentation projects with deadlines in Q4 and Q1.

Work Environment

This is a remote role with first preference given to candidates in Florida, followed by those on the East Coast. The position involves working on exciting new products, with potential for extension beyond an initial six‑month period.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Boca Raton, Florida.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 – $55.00 / hr.
