Travel RN Job Details Location : Burlington, VT 05401 Unit : Miller 3 – Cardiac Progressive Care Stepdown Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse Start Date : November 17, 2025 End Date : June 28, 2026 Contract Duration : 32 weeks Shift : 12-hour nights Hours per Week : 36 Estimated Weekly Pay : $2100–$2250 Holiday Requirement : Must work 2 out of 4 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, New Year's Day) Registered Nurse Qualifications Active RN license eligible for Vermont nursing jobs Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a cardiac stepdown, PCU, or telemetry unit Recent experience in a large Level 1 trauma center (within the past year) Cardiothoracic and vascular nursing experience required Post-op Day 1 open / closed heart patient care experience required Proven cardiac nursing experience Epic EMR proficiency within the past 2 years (required) Willingness to float to similar progressive care or stepdown units Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (PCCN certification preferred) Reliable transportation required (public transportation not available) Vehicle must have all-season or snow tires from November to April All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown and progressive care patients in a fast-paced hospital setting Monitor, assess, and document patient status for cardiac, vascular, and post-surgical needs Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes Utilize Epic EMR for accurate documentation and care coordination Float to similar PCU or stepdown units as needed Participate in bi-weekly orientation and ongoing professional development Comply with all hospital policies, procedures, and shift / holiday requirements Experience the best of Vermont healthcare jobs while living in scenic Burlington.
