We have the following position at our Riverside / Agua Mansa Material Recovery Facility division :
Salary : $80k - $95k (DOE)
Position Summary
The Administrative Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all administrative functions at the Burrtec’s MRF / Transfer
Station (MRFTS) division. This role ensures consistency, accuracy, and compliance in administrative operations, and customer
service. The Administrative Manager partners with Corporate Accounting, Division Management, and Operations teams to maintain
standardized practices, optimize workflows, and support divisional and regional objectives.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Administrative Oversight & Leadership
- Oversee and manage administrative functions at the MRFTS divisions.
- Implement standardized administrative policies, procedures, and processes.
- Ensure compliance with corporate accounting, finance, and audit standards.
- Provide training, perform audits, and ensure adherence to Burrtec standards.
- Lead administrative onboarding, training, and continuous education programs for administrative and scale house personnel.
Systems, Processes & Efficiency
Assist with the evaluation of processes to improve accuracy, timeliness, and data integrity.Collaborate with Corporate Accounting and IT to integrate administrative functions with enterprise systems (e.g., ADP, scalehouse software, purchasing workflows).
Monitor KPIs related to administrative performance, customer billing accuracy, and compliance deadlines.Support implementation of new technology platforms or system upgrades within the MRFTS division.Financial & Compliance Support
Ensure all required administrative reports, reconciliations, and records are accurate and submitted timely.Coordinate with division and corporate teams to support audits, financial reviews, and operational reporting.Assist with budget tracking, cost allocation, and performance analysis for administrative functions.Enforce adherence to company policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.Customer & Team Relations
Lead division team in resolving customer inquiries or billing concerns.Serve as a liaison between administrative staff, scale house operators, and management.Foster a collaborative, service-oriented culture within the administrative team.Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to administrative team members.Other Duties
Prepare reports, conduct analysis, and recommend process improvements.Participate in division meetings and strategic planning sessions.Perform other duties as assigned by management.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field required.Minimum 5 years of administrative management experience.Experience in waste management, logistics, or industrial operations is strongly preferred.Demonstrated success in implementing process improvements and managing cross-functional projects.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and related business systems.Deep understanding of administrative and accounting principles.Valid California Driver’s License required.Must be able to work extended hours as necessary to meet project deadlines or operational needs.Competencies

Combination of office and field-based work requires regular presence at operational site and will involve extended periods ofsitting, standing, and sustained concentration during meetings, planning sessions, and analysis work.
Must be able to lift to 20 pounds occasionally.Ability to clearly communicate information and ideas so others can understand.Manual dexterity and vision that are sufficient to operate a computer for extended periods without abnormal hand, wrist, oreye strain.
Hearing sufficiently to engage in conversation both in person and over the telephone.Exposure to outdoor environments, including varying weather conditions, dust, odors, and noise associated with wastemanagement operations.
Exposure to physical risks common in waste management settings, such as machinery and heavy equipment operation, duringsite visits.
Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required during facility and field visits.Supervisory Responsibilities
