POSITION SUMMARY :

We seek a highly-motivated, experienced Senior Traffic Engineer to join our engineering team. This position requires possession of a valid license as a Professional Civil Engineer or Professional Traffic Engineer issued by the State of California. Candidate must be able to review and approve Traffic Control Plans (TCPs) for safety and regulatory compliance with little to no supervision.

POSITION DUTIES :

• Review and approve Traffic Control Plans for safety and regulatory compliance.
• Lead challenging design projects and provide direction to the engineering team.
• Serve as the subject matter expert for work zone traffic control projects.
• Assist with coaching and training to the engineering team
• Coordinate with Project Managers and / or Engineering Manager dealing with work distribution
• Prepare plan revisions based on customer and / or public agency feedback
• Provide complex temporary traffic control layouts including multi-phase and multi-jurisdictional plans
• Assist with complex base plans and / or complex temporary traffic control layouts
• Provide design assistance for plans prepared by other team members
• Provide feedback on plan reviews for management documentation
• Meet or exceed project deadlines.
• Other duties as assigned
