POSITION SUMMARY

The Body Fabricator is responsible for the aluminum metal fabrication of multiple components of the fire apparatus’s body. They will precisely measure all dimensions and ensures they are positioned correctly. They must be able to read and follow blueprints / specifications to complete objectives. A Body fabricator welds, sands, cuts, and bolts materials to build the body of the fire apparatus.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The scope and duties of a given position may change or be temporarily altered based on the business needs of Rosenbauer.

• Fabricates the aluminum body on the fire apparatus.
• Precisely measures all dimensions and ensures they are positioned correctly.
• Reads and follows blueprints and specifications to complete objectives.
• Welds, sands, cuts, and bolts materials to build the body of the fire apparatus.
• Checks the work of the blueprints and specifications to ensure that it will result in a workable product.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by management to meet the needs of the organization and our members.

Tools to be utilized :

Hand tools, power tools, grinders, cut off wheels, saw, shear, welders, and tape measure

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

Driving- license

May be required to operate company vehicles to move parts needed from building to building for production purposes.

Driving- Own Vehicle

May be required to drive between buildings.

Hours of work- Ability to work evenings and / or weekends occasionally

Overtime as needed to meet the needs of the department.

Travel- Local

Travel- Overnight

Able to pass a weld evaluation during the interview process.
