School Finance Analyst (Program Specialist III) (Open)

NDE is looking for a School Finance Analyst to provide school finance research and leadership to inform educational policy decision makers and leaders across the state. This includes collecting and evaluating state aid and school finance information to verify, validate, and analyze data related to statewide school budgets. Quite the impact! Office Location : This position is assigned to our office located at 84th & O St, Lincoln, NE.
Pay Grade 9 : $33.532 / hour. This rate is based upon available budget funds; any offer will be made at this rate.

Essential Functions :
Working Conditions and Travel :
This position requires approximately 100% of work time spent in an office environment; there may be time spent traveling or working in alternative sites such as conferences or off-site meetings. There is approximately five days of overnight travel per year.
Requirements / Qualifications :
Minimum Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in a related field and four years of experience related to the essential functions of the position. Any equivalent education and / or work experience may be substituted in order to meet the minimum qualifications of the position.
Preferred Qualifications : Master's degree in a related field (e.g., finance, accounting) and at least four years of experience financial analysis or working within financial research.
