Macgregor Black is partnering with a leading consumer goods brand on the search for a Marketing Director . This is a permanent, hybrid position located in California, United States .
As a Marketing Director , you will be responsible for driving brand growth, customer engagement, and business results through strategic marketing execution. You’ll lead key functions including brand, digital, content, performance, and insights whilst managing and developing a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities Lead brand architecture, messaging, and go-to-market strategies across both existing and new product lines.
Identify growth opportunities through consumer insights, competitive analysis, and market trends.
Oversee digital acquisition and retention strategies, including paid media, SEO / SEM, email, and other key channels.
Develop and execute impactful marketing campaigns in collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
Manage D2C marketing budgets and performance metrics, providing ongoing reporting and optimization.
Ensure cross-functional alignment across marketing, eCommerce, product, and other key departments.
Recruit, manage, and mentor a high-performing team across brand, content, and digital marketing functions.
Direct agency and vendor relationships to ensure strategic alignment and operational efficiency.
Collaborate with executive leadership on brand evolution, strategic planning, and company-wide initiatives.
Own creative and content strategy across all customer-facing platforms, including digital, social.
Oversee end-to-end campaign development, ensuring alignment with brand identity and business goals.
Uphold creative standards and ensure consistency across all marketing and brand touchpoints.
What we’re looking for Bachelor\'s degree in Marketing or a related field (MBA is preferred).
Flexibility - able to travel multiple times a year for events.
Extensive marketing experience (7–10 years) with a strong emphasis on brand management and direct-to-consumer success.
Proven ability to scale marketing functions in high-growth or omni-channel consumer environments.
Strong background in performance marketing, customer journey mapping, and data-driven optimization.
Skilled in leading cross-functional teams and agency partnerships, delivering complex, high-impact marketing initiatives.
Commercially savvy communicator with the influence and presence to engage effectively at the executive level.
