Belt Shop Fabricator - Belt Technician Responsibilities :

• Fabricate and repair conveyor belts
• Inspect completed fabricated belts for order accuracy to meet industry specifications
• Install and vulcanize lightweight and heavyweight conveyor belting
• Maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition
• Work in a manner that ensures the safety of everyone involved. Exercise proper care in the use of tools and equipment
• Detect and report defective equipment, material and any improper operations or unusual conditions
• Observe all safety rules and regulations; maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition
• Required to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
• Other duties as assigned

Qualification :

• Measure and cut material Must be able to MEASURE ACCURATELY, both imperial and metric
• Basic Math skills - add, subtract, multiply, and divide in units of linear measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals with a calculator
• Strong mechanical background a plus
• Required to read and write in English
• Material handling with forklift, pallet jack and hand truck.
• High attention to detail

Compensation :

• Starting wage negotiable based on experience. Experienced Belting Fabricator will be considered for additional compensation.
• Performance based wage increases.
