Travel Nurse Job Details Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1770-$1900 Assignment Length : 13 weeks Start Date : November 25, 2025 End Date : February 24, 2026 Location : Baltimore, MD 21218 (Maryland nursing jobs) Unit : Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM), 3 shifts per week Call : 4 call shifts per 6-week schedule Weekend Requirement : Every third weekend Patient Ratio : 1 : 2 Charting System : Cerner / Med Connect Scrub Color : Navy Blue Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU RN experience (critical care nursing) Active Compact RN or Maryland RN license (required at time of submission) Certifications : ACLS, BLS (American Heart Association) Proficient in cardiac rhythm interpretation, post-cardiac surgery care, ventilator management, pacer / temp pacer / transvenous pacer, and IV insulin protocols Experience caring for POD 1 hearts and fresh heart admissions Ability to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed Two (2) supervisor references required Flu vaccine required (no exemptions) CVICU RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult patients in the CVICU, including those recovering from complex cardiac surgeries and procedures Interpret and manage cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias Assist with chest tube insertion / removal and care for ventilated patients Administer and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips Manage central lines, arterial lines, and advanced monitoring devices Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams such as respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and physical therapy Document care using Cerner / Med Connect and communicate effectively using SBAR / shift notes Participate in on-call rotation and work every third weekend as scheduled Maintain infection prevention standards and adhere to all hospital protocols Take your next step in travel nursing with this CVICU RN job in Baltimore, Maryland.
