Position Description
The Residential Inspections Coordinator is primarily responsible for preparing residential solar and battery projects for inspections, with a deep understanding of each project's design, as-built condition, and current status built by Sun Light and Power's residential operations team. This employee will care deeply about the quality of each build and will help to review, document and compile information to assist with quality control and ensure consistent work performed at the highest level. Elements of a successful inspections program consist of knowing each Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) and their rules and intricacies, knowing and developing a relationship with AHJ inspectors, knowing NEC and CA and local building codes, as well as developing successful communications strategies and tactics. Additionally, the Residential Inspections Coordinator will assist in obtaining and providing documentation for financing institutions and lease and loan providers for sold solar and battery projects. This trifecta of focus will help to ensure SLP's residential project flow and success. A combination of successfully passing inspections, ensuring quality control, and providing required documentation for PPA projects will be the crux of the Coordinators efforts.
