Senior Staff Accountant

Our client, a nationally recognized organization in Arlington County is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join their collaborative and mission-driven finance team. This is a hybrid position (3 days in office, 2 days remote) with flexibility after initial training. Salary : $85,000 - $95,000

Senior Staff Accountant Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business required.

3+ years of full-cycle accounting experience, including month-end close.

Revenue recognition experience required.

Strong Excel skills and experience with an ERP system.

Excellent communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented attitude.

Senior Staff Accountant Responsibilities :

Perform full-cycle accounting, including general ledger management and monthly close.

Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.

Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.

Assist with audits and tax filings.

Collaborate with FP&A, operations, and external partners.

Support various business units, including affiliated entities.

Work within Workday (experience with other ERPs acceptable).
