Demonstrate the ability to develop control system drawing packages under the direction of senior designers. Develop basic understanding of Information Technology (IT) system, network infrastructure, and computer system design, as it relates to control system integration. Detect problems in a timely manner. Explore outside sources for potential solutions to problems. Use logic, intuition and experience to find appropriate solutions to problems. Demonstrate the ability to proof-read self-generated documentation. Expert with internal tools and able to troubleshoot issues. Exhibit proficiency in Microsoft operating systems and Office tools. Communicate in an effective, positive, and proactive manner with customers, when required. Complete assigned tasks accurately, on schedule, and under budget. Understand the scope of work assigned to you, identify when issues arise that are beyond that scope, and communicate those issues to the assigned project lead. Communicates effectively across all mediums. Can be persuasive when appropriate. Ability to work alone effectively. Ensures that all team members have the information they need to work together effectively. Actively seek knowledge from senior design team members. Maintain open and direct communication with all design team members. Be a self-starter, and spend the extra time and energy required to develop the skill set necessary to advance career. Maintain professional relations with co-workers, offer assistance to co-workers, when possible, ask for help and guidance from co-workers when necessary, and always treat co-workers with respect. Work safely, never endangering self, others, or property. As required, expected to be 0-5%. Proof of eligibility to work in the country where the position is located is required. Maintain a valid driver's license. Job Summary :
Uses AutoCAD software to produce complete and accurate design drawings, with oversight from senior designers. Provides support to designers in the process of control panel design, P&IDs, mechanical installation, electrical loop drawings, panel risers, and project as-built documents as well as other drafting / design tasks. Takes direction and seeks guidance from senior designers.
Education and Experience :
- Associate degree in drafting, or other pertinent curriculum combined with relevant technical experience.
- Typically, 2-5 years of experience.
- Proven Track Record : 2+ years as Control Systems CAD Operator or equivalent.
