BASIC SUMMARY :
Provide an exceptional dining experience to members / guests by serving food and beverage items in a professional, friendly manner while following the proper rules of etiquette and the company’s high standards of customer service.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / OTHER REQUIREMENTS :
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Two-year previous experience in food industry preferred.
- Jonas experience preferred.
- Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to members and guests.
- Listen effectively; speak, read and write fluently in English.
- Responsible Vendor and Food Handler Certificates (within 90 days of employment).
- Work well under pressure and handle difficult situations.
- Highly proficient at managing multiple tasks and prioritizing work.
- Committed to teamwork and able to work with little to no supervision.
- Exemplary customer service and hospitality skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to deal with guests in a professional manner with patience, tact and diplomacy.
- Work rotating shifts, weekends and holidays.
- Schedule vacations during the off-season months.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS / ABILITY TO :
Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance and objects in excess of 50 pounds with assistance.Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces as well as up and down stairs and / or service ramps. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.Stand and walk for length of scheduled shift for prolonged periods.Reach with hands and arms, bend stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.Perform duties of the job while exposed to sun and hot weather conditions for prolonged periods.Determine accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned through visual acuity.Express and exchange ideas by means of the spoken word accurately, loudly and quickly.Perceive the nature of sounds at a normal speaking level and make fine discriminations in sound.Withstand a moderate noise level.The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by people assigned to this position.
