AdventHealth Tampa, a faith-based not-for-profit 626-bed tertiary-level acute care hospital located in the uptown district of Tampa, Florida, specializes in advanced cardiovascular medicine, neuroscience and neurology, digestive health, orthopedics, womens services, pediatrics, oncology, endocrinology, bariatrics, wound healing, sleep medicine and general surgery including minimally invasive and robot-assisted procedures. GME programs on the hospital campus currently include general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, internal medicine and transitional year.

AdventHealth Tampa is home to the renowned AdventHealth Pepin Heart Institute, a recognized leader in cardiovascular disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment and leading-edge research caring for Tampa Bays hearts for over 35 years.

The Kiran C. Patel Research Institute, also located at AdventHealth Tampa, leads the way in clinical and academic research in the areas of neuroscience, cardiovascular medicine, advanced surgery and more contributing valuable knowledge that leads to tomorrows cures for conditions such as heart failure, cancer and other diseases.

The role you'll contribute :

Responsible to the Assistant Vice President of Nursing for planning, organizing, directing and evaluating all nursing service functions and activities for assigned patient care programs / units, to ensure delivery of optimal quality of care and organizational effectiveness. Responsible for overall patient care services for the Neuro, Neurosurgical, Vascular, Hospice and Transitional Care units and service lines.

Participates and validates that rounding for outcomes occur daily in all assigned departments.

Promotes and validates AIDET compliance.

Maintains responsibility for all assigned departments on 24 / 7 basis, unless otherwise approved.

Participates on Patient Experience Team

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed :

Master's Nursing Required

Bachelor's of Science in Nursing or a health care related field Required

Master's of Science in Nursing or a health care related field Required

2 health care management experience Required

Strong detail orientation required.

Computer skills required.

BCLS - Basic Life Support Required

Current registration with Florida State Board of Nursing as a registered professional nurse or licensure from another state with verification of application and eligibility for Florida licensure by endorsement Required
