Fabrication Projects Maintenance Tech

Overview

Job Summary

The fab projects maintenance tech must have basic knowledge of General Maintenance, Hydraulic Systems, Pneumatic, Electrical and Electronic Systems, and advanced Welding (TIG, STICK). Leads must be able to work either as a team or individually. Must comply with all company safety rules, lockout tagout (loto) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's).

Key Responsibilities

• Implement mechanical and engineering projects
• Ensure all assigned daily tasks and paperwork are completed
• Ensure shop equipment and tools are in good mechanical order
• Aid other teams (assist maintenance teams on fab / harvest / rendering as needed)
• Always follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) and Safety Practices
• Setup machinery, visually inspect, test machinery and tear down machinery
• Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discuss machine operation variations with supervisors or other personnel to diagnose problems or repair machine
• Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts
• Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings gears, and other parts of machinery
• Repairs and maintains the physical structures of the establishment

Summary

America's Heartland Packing is set to open its doors in early 2025. The 775,000 sq. ft. greenfield project will include a harvest floor, carcass chillers, fabrication area, rendering, further processing area, storage coolers, freezers, and loading docks.
