The Business Development Representative is responsible for p rospecting for new organic clients that align with the organizations' services nationally and fit with our companies' goals and values.
Utilize a wide variety of cold calling methods including social media, telephone, email campaigns, video, and more with aggressive goals for setting qualified appointments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Sales : Participate in prospecting activities to identify potential client contacts and / or potential revenue opportunities in alignment with companies’ ideal client profile Actively prospect via telephone, email, and social media Schedule discovery prospective client meetings via phone, video, or in-person and provide sufficient information to advance the sales cycle Lead and complete any qualification processes of potential new clients independently or in collaboration with other BD team members Input and manage prospect and account data within CRM database such as SalesForce Engage in networking activities to generate new business leads Attend trade shows and other relevant industry events to promote business Work with the BD team to establish and share prospecting techniques that are effective Keep up to date on trends and news from the industry, our competitors, and our target market Marketing : Trade shows Monitor registration dates, attendees, estimate budget Coordinate and communicate with event organizers along with any supporting vendors Complete necessary forms : registration, attendee info, company questionnaires Book flights, hotel rooms, additional event activities, client / prospect dinner reservations Establish promotion item giveaways and booth logistics of shipping Coordinate all presentations and prep process for team Marketing materials Case studies - distribute and drive the creation of new content Capabilities packet - maintain and update as needed, supporting sales collateral commonly used to share with prospective clients.
- Communicate and coordinate with BD team to assist in creating up to date info regarding recent case studies. Creating or editing prospect and client-specific materials PowerPoint presentations NSS license and geographic strength maps Client lists Prospect qualification questionnaires – lead the organization of materials for submission Source project photos, video, and overall internal content – push / pull as needed to gain before / after jobsite pics along with other content creation activities to come Coordinate vendors such as 1905 and / or video production companies Scan daily publications for relevant current industry topics and potential prospect information Update and maintain Company website Design and distribute updates to Email signatures Order promotional items Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
