Job Overview :
The Journeyman Plumber, under general supervision of the Plumbing Service Manager, perform installation, maintenance, inspection, modification, and repair of residential and commercial plumbing equipment and systems. Gittleman Construction & Maintenance Corporation, a licensed general contractor (#BC635989) provides clients expert maintenance, repairs, capital improvements and replacements, custom remodeling, disaster management and restoration services. We have over 40 years of experience in the construction and maintenance business employing a team of highly skilled experienced tradespeople, many of whom have been with the company for over 20 years.
Your Responsibilities :

- Install, service and repair all aspects of residential and commercial plumbing fixtures and systems in accordance with local and state plumbing codes
- Diagnose plumbing related problems and code violations; recommend and implement appropriate repairs
- Ensure compliance of safe working practices and conditions in accordance with OSHA guidelines and regulations
- Maintain records of customer requests, services performed or other related dispatch information
- Work on a scheduled and on-call basis as assigned, responding to routine and emergency calls for repairs and service

Must maintain regular and punctual attendance to required shifts, meetings, trainings and related employment engagements to support position responsibilities and duties. Any alterations to required schedule must be reviewed and approved, in advance by your supervisorPractice and adhere to FirstService Residential Global Service Standards.Conduct business at all time with the highest standards of personal, professional and ethical conduct.Perform or assist with any operations as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules. Notify supervision of unusual equipment or operating problems and the need for additional material and supplies.May participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, policies, and regulatory guidelines.Ensure all safety precautions are followed while performing the work.Follow all policies and Standard Operating Procedures as instructed by Management.Perform any range of special projects, tasks and other related duties as assigned.Skills & Qualifications :
State of MN Journeyman or Master Plumbing licenseMinneapolis and St Paul competency cardsMinimum of 5 years’ experience in commercial and residential plumbing service work and installationsThorough knowledge of local, state and national plumbing codesUnderstanding of large domestic water delivery systems, hot water recirculation and balancing preferredRPZ backflow prevention device testing and rebuilding preferredDiagnose and rebuild pressure reducing valves / stations preferredExceptional customer service skillsValid driver’s licensePhysical Requirements :

Compensation : $63.43 an hour
