A leading organization is seeking a Senior Payroll Manager to oversee payroll operations for a workforce of over 60,000 employees across the U.S. and Canada. This is a high-impact leadership role ideal for someone with deep payroll expertise, strong compliance knowledge, and a hands-on approach to team development.
What You'll Do
- Lead payroll processing for salaried, hourly, tipped, seasonal, and union employees.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and Canadian payroll regulations.
- Collaborate with HRIS, Benefits, Accounting, and external vendors to maintain system integrity.
- Will directly manage four Payroll Supervisors
- Train and mentor payroll team members, fostering accountability and operational excellence.
- Identify and resolve process inefficiencies and compliance risks.
- Manage payroll systems, reporting, and audits across multiple FEINs and jurisdictions.
What You Bring
7+ years of payroll experience, including 3+ years in a managerial role within a high-volume environment (10K+ employees).CPP certification required.Experience with Dayforce preferredExperience with timekeeping, POS, and payroll systems.Strong understanding of wage and hour laws, garnishments, payroll tax, and regulatory reporting.Multi-state experience including California; Canadian payroll experience preferred.Background in publicly traded companies is a plus.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Ability to lead in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.Compensation & Benefits
