Position summary & scope

Associate Faculty invest in students\' futures through their care, time, expertise, and energy. This position shares equal accountability for each student\'s success, which is why the position is not referred to as an adjunct. Our Associate Faculty are a vital and valued part of our students\' learning experience and will support student learning in the assigned courses.
Primary accountabilities
- Provide service to students in and out of the classroom through engaging instruction aligned with Post University\'s Associate Faculty expectations.
- Maintain subject matter expertise in core MBA disciplines, including but not limited to Strategic Management, Financial Management, Marketing, Operations Management, Organizational Behavior, Leadership, Economics, Accounting, and Business Ethics.
- Adhere to all Post University best practices, policies, procedures, and applicable laws or regulations.
- Nurture credible student relations through high-quality student evaluations.
- Other expectations are assigned and completed on a discretionary basis.
Essential functions
Under the direction of the PC or APC : Facilitate class instruction in accordance with learning outcomes and syllabi specified by the Assistant / Program Chair of the area and by the university.Classroom management : adhere to Post University policies and guidelines as they pertain to course conduct and academic expectations for engagement. As the primary contact with students, the Associate Faculty member works with the Assistant / Program Chair and Student Advising to address areas of concern.Evaluate student performance : administer evaluations based on course deliverables and rubrics. Interim grades are posted in the Blackboard Grade Center; final grades are posted in WebReg.Adhere to course guidelines : participate in discussion boards, class discussions, and chat sessions as determined by the course. The minimum will be set by the Assistant / Program Chair, but Post University requires all instructors to engage students with high-touch effort.Respond promptly to grade determination : submit grades for assignments, discussions, exams, and course completion per established requirements.Input final grades in WebReg and the Blackboard Grade Center (if applicable).As required, participate in and coordinate end-of-class "close the loop" meetings with APM.Requirements
All associate faculty members must have at minimum a master\'s degree and significant experience in their area of instruction. Each Associate Faculty member must have college transcripts (official) on file with Associate Experience / Human Resources to be considered for employment. Each Associate Faculty member will also complete a training session before his / her first teaching assignment at Post University.
Minimum qualifications & competencies
Directly related doctoral-level degree preferred.College teaching experience (two or more years) is desired.Desire to experience 21st-century models of teaching and learning.Possess integrity and work ethic.Has superior relationship-building skills with students or other associates.Demonstrates affinity for the mission of higher education.Has computer and systems usage competency. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Learning Management Systems, and business software applications are desired.Possess the flexibility to adapt to a changing and dynamic environment.Physical requirements
