Join Our Team as a Mechanical Engineer (Facilities) Intern!

The Mechanical Engineering Intern will assist the Manager - Facilities Engineering and other project engineers with facilities related tasks associated with engineering projects. Facilities projects are related to building design and construction, manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, building remodeling projects, facilities equipment replacements and upgrades, plant rearrangement, machinery installations and moves, and modifications to existing process systems including plating, finishing, polymers.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following :

• All of the following as tasks for projects being run by engineers :
• Perform engineering tasks / calculations.
• Write basic functional descriptions of different mechanical systems.
• Field verification of existing conditions.
• Research to find equipment to meet specified requirements based on the calculations performed.
• Prepare CAD layouts and drawings on Microstation or Autocad.
• Work with contractors to get projects implemented / installed.
• Prepare engineering documentation for various projects being performed by engineers.
