We are seeking a Materials And Process Engineer for our client, a leading global industrial materials company whose products are vital to the modern economy and carbon reduction. Their materials are essential to the low-carbon, electrified technologies that power modern life, which you will find in products from electric cars to wind turbines.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Production Engineering team to ensure the seamless integration of metal powder production with upstream and downstream processes.
• Collaborate with technical specialists to manage physical processes, key control metrics, and potential hazards across all manufacturing operations.
• Oversee and support powder processing operations, ensuring compliance with internal specifications and customer standards.
• Coordinate with upstream and downstream production teams to ensure continuity and efficiency across the full manufacturing process.
• Plan and implement procedures for powder preparation techniques, including mechanical processing and controlled-atmosphere treatments.
• Collaborate with vendors, maintenance teams, and procurement on equipment specifications, design reviews, and commissioning of new systems.
• Partner with R&D on the scale-up of new manufacturing processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to quality assurance programs, risk assessments, and root cause investigations related to powder production processes.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Metallurgy / Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field, along with 3+ years of experience in metal powder processing within industrial-scale operations. Proficiency in problem-solving methodologies such as FMEA and Root Cause Analysis, equipment fault diagnosis, process development, PLCs, and P&IDs is required. Strong written and verbal communication skills are also essential.
