Established law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join their dynamic team. This remote role offers an opportunity to engage in challenging civil litigation cases, focusing on combating insurance fraud and advocating for justice on behalf of our clients. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical and writing skills, a collaborative mindset, and a willingness to take on significant responsibilities from the outset. This person MUST RESIDE IN CALIFORNIA, TEXAS, OR WASHINGTON & have an active California bar license.
Responsibilities :
- Represent clients in civil litigation cases, with a primary focus on insurance fraud matters.
- Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, and prepare comprehensive legal documents.
- Participate in depositions, including both conducting and defending them effectively.
- Manage the discovery process, including drafting and responding to discovery requests.
- Collaborate with team members to develop and execute litigation strategies.
- Handle pre-trial and trial responsibilities, including preparing evidence and presenting cases in court.
- Communicate and negotiate with opposing counsel to seek resolutions or settlements when appropriate.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations affecting insurance fraud cases.
- Foster strong client relationships through regular communication and updates on case progress.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in the state of California.
- Proven experience in civil litigation, with trial experience strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in managing all aspects of depositions, including both conducting and defending.
- Strong skills in legal research, drafting, and discovery processes.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
