Diesel Mechanic

Moody Excavating, LLC is currently seeking applications to fill an open position for heavy equipment mechanic / maintenance technician.

Heavy Equipment Mechanic Job Duties :

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair equipment including off road trucks, excavators, & rollers Inspect, service, and adjust fluid levels, hoses, belts, brakes, tires, and clutches Conduct regular preventative maintenance on equipment & company vehicles Maintain accurate records of each repair performed Ability to recognize mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems problems and formulate possible solutions Perform safety inspections on vehicles and equipment; conduct routine repair work under the supervision of a senior mechanic Assist mechanics in the performance of mechanical repairs as required Performs minor repairs and limited preventive maintenance (PM) on assigned equipment Qualifications : A thorough understanding of diesel engines and heavy construction equipment Knowledgeable of both on road and off-road heavy machinery Must be able to pass an annual motor vehicle records (MVR) inquiry Must be able to use mechanics software to evaluate & close out work orders on assigned equipment This job has no supervisory duties Company Benefits : Competitive pay based on experience Job advancement and pay increases based on work history and proficiency of job duties.
