Must-Have :

Must be willing to work with a variety of staff, including RNs, LPNs, and Techs.

Floating is required based on unit needs.

Weekend work is required, typically every other weekend.

No holiday time off requests will be accepted; holidays are usually required.

Description :

This position involves working in a 10-bed overflow unit focused on medical patients.

The typical patient ratio during daytime shifts is 1 : 4-5, increasing to 1 : 7 if a team of RN and LPN is involved.

The primary focus is on constant reassessment of patients' readiness for discharge.

The unit will be rapidly admitting and discharging patients.

Expect to float to other medical-surgical units as needed.

No guarantee can be provided for block scheduling at this time.

Completion of all lab work is required within a specified timeframe after signing the contract.

Proof of flu vaccination is required or submission for exemption must be provided within a designated timeframe.

References are required for the submission process.

Modules for training and orientation will be non-billable and self-reported annually.
