Position Summary :
The Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating responses to behavioral health emergencies across the Commonwealth through the state issues data platform. Dispatchers coordinate with PSAPs, mobile teams and hubs, and with the call center to ensure the efficient response to a behavioral health crisis.

SCHEDULE & LOCATION :
This is a 100% REMOTE position and requires 40 hours per week, 7 : 30am - 3 : 00pm, EST
Weekends and Holidays are Required!
PRIMARY DUTIES :
Receive and process behavioral health emergency care coordination requests with PSAPsand mobile hubs.Monitor and provide technical support to mobile teams dispatching across theCommonwealth.Provide standardized safety checks with mobile teams who are in the field and coordinatewith PSAPs regarding the dispatch of mobile teams in the field.Monitor the data platform for request for mobile teams and monitor regional MicrosoftTeams applications for communications regarding dispatch.Coordinate with PSAPs regarding available resources for co-responseUpdate state data platform with case updates and dispositions.Provide a safe environment for staff to self-disclose, seek consultation, and appropriately address concerns.ESSENTIAL COMPETENCIES :

High School Diploma or GEDMust pass a typing test of 40 wpm with no more than 6 errors and a software-basedapplication skills testCommunication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor,the general public , etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive workdirectionExperience in telephonic and text crisis management and call center environment.Demonstrated experience in a PSAP or similar environment.Awareness of or experience in the mental health substance abuse treatment systems inVirginia.Ability to exercise excellent independent judgment with minimal direct supervision.Excellent oral and written communication skills, Spanish-speaking bilingual skills a plusThe above statements reflect the usual responsibilities and principal functions of the position and shall not be construed as a complete description of all the work requirements that may be inherent or added to the position.
