Assistant Teacher

Job Description

Compensation : $14-$19 per hour depending on education and experience. Employment type : full-time.

Lily Pad at Metro Park, a sparkling child care facility in the Kingstowne section of Alexandria, is looking for a dynamic full-time assistant teacher to float as needed in our infant, toddler, and preschool classrooms.

The ideal teacher would have a degree and background in child care, but we will consider any exceptionally warm and caring person, particularly someone with experience with children or an extraordinary candidate from a different background especially artists, musicians, and other creative types. You must have a love of children and a zest for teaching.

The hours are 9 : 00 am until 6 : 00 pm.

This position is particularly fun because you will be moving from classroom to classroom, spending your time alternatively cuddling an infant or teaching a five-year-old how to hula hoop!
