Consultant, Environmental Health and Safety

Responsibilities
- Provide onsite client support and perform safety risk assessments, inspections and observations to implement effective EHS programs and meet regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement EHS programs and strategies in Hazard Communication, Injury Illness Prevention, Chemical Management, Occupational Health, Safety Management Systems, Process Safety and Risk Management, Industrial Hygiene and technical support.
- Investigate accidents, incidents and issues, identify corrective actions and ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
- Build strong collaborative relationships with clients and ERM employees, manage tasks to meet scope, budget and schedule targets, and produce high quality deliverables.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor degree in safety, occupational health, engineering or related science and / or 2+ years of relevant experience working with significant private-sector clients.Willingness to travel up to 40 hours per week primarily within the Northern California Bay Area.Working understanding of local, state and federal regulations and how they apply to specific industries.Strong analytical, detail-oriented, problem-solving skills and project management experience in a fast-paced and diverse environment.Valid driver's license and ability to operate a company vehicle for frequent travel to client locations.Not eligible for immigration sponsorship.Desired Qualifications
Master's degree or 2 years of experience equivalent to 1 year of education in safety, occupational health, engineering or related science.Knowledge of California state and local EHS regulations and best practices.Compensation
Annual base pay range $76,000 – $97,410 USD, based on education, qualifications, experience, geographic location and business needs. Bonus pay may be eligible for certain employee categories.
