We are looking for a talented Communication Specialist to join our team on a contract basis. This position involves creating compelling content, managing social media strategies, and supporting digital communication efforts for a non-profit organization. The ideal candidate will bring strong writing skills, creativity, and experience with digital tools to enhance communication initiatives.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and publish engaging content for various social media platforms, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Maintain and update the WordPress website with accurate and timely information.
- Write and share blog articles that resonate with target audiences.
- Plan and schedule social media campaigns using Hootsuite to maximize reach.
- Design visual content using Canva to complement written materials.
- Assist the Communications Director in executing broader communication strategies.
- Use tools like WordPress, Canva, and Hootsuite to streamline content creation and distribution.
- Monitor and analyze social media performance to identify areas for improvement.
- Proven experience in communications, marketing, or digital content creation, with a portfolio of successful projects.
- Exceptional writing and storytelling abilities that engage diverse audiences.
- Strong knowledge of social media platforms and best practices for organic content.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines effectively.
- Familiarity with tools such as WordPress, Canva, and Hootsuite.
- Experience in designing newsletters, including layout and content creation, is a plus.
- Previous experience working with non-profit or regional organizations is preferred.
- Basic graphic design skills are desirable but not mandatory.
