Percheron is looking for a Budget and Financial Analyst that is ready to make a real impact and drive financial excellence in a dynamic, growth-oriented company. The Analyst plays a key role in supporting the company’s financial planning, forecasting, and decision-making. This position is responsible for developing and monitoring budgets, analyzing financial results, and providing actionable insights to management. The role requires autonomy, attention to detail, and strong collaboration skills within the Accounting Department.
Essential Tasks and Responsibilities
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Develop, maintain, and monitor annual operating and capital budgets.
- Prepare financial forecasts and projections to support business planning.
- Track budget-to-actual results, identify variances, and recommend corrective measures.
- Review budget proposals for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company standards.
Financial Analysis & Reporting
Conduct financial analysis to evaluate performance, trends, and key metrics.Support profitability analysis, cost optimization initiatives, and investment evaluations.Prepare regular financial reports and presentations for management.Perform cost-benefit analyses and defend budget recommendations with data.Business Support
Partner with business units to provide financial insights and guidance.Assist in evaluating business cases, pricing models, and strategic initiatives.Collaborate with other departments to support financial planning and analysis.Process & Systems Improvement
Recommend and implement improvements to budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.Ensure financial data integrity and adherence to company policies.Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.Perform other duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration is required.MBA, CPA, or CFA is preferred.2 to 5 years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, or corporate finance.Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.Experience with ERP and business intelligence systems (e.g., Vantagepoint, Prophix, Power BI).Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Excellent communication and presentation abilities.Ability to work independently and collaborate across functions.Knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and techniques.Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple prioritiesAbility to work autonomously and to collaborate fully as a team player.Ability to pay close attention to details, and present good planning, organization, and time management skills.Ability to work in a team environment and willingness to assume additional or new responsibilities readily.Ability to maintain regular attendance as per work schedule agreed with manager (may require working an adjusted work schedule based on project assigned and work overtime if warranted).Ability to comply with applicable laws and regulations and Company policies and proceduresWork Environment and Physical Demands
