Responsibilities
- Follow-up with insurance companies to complete authorizations
Ensure all information was submitted
Complete Verbal Auth Forms for new treatment requestsCompare treatment plans with approved hours to ensure the correct hours were givenManage, track, and update authorized hours for clientsMonitor authorization expiration dates to ensure treatment plans are submitted in a timely mannerIdentify barriers to obtaining appropriate and timely service authorizations and report to manager
Send authorization updates to BCBAsInclude breakdown of hours received
Notes for the next re-assessment periodSchedule Peer Reviews with BCBAs and insurance companiesSend authorization reminders to BCBAs each month to ensure all authorizations are completed in a timely mannerInput authorization information into Central Reach for billing purposesUtilize reports to ensure that all services are authorizedReview converted timesheets for the previous day for all codes and different levels of therapistsEnsure correct procedure coding is used per time sheet and by all different levels of therapists
Check conversion times against the sign-in sheet and the schedule to ensure all timesheets were entered and convertedCheck the locations of the timesheets to match the location of the appointmentCheck for overlaps and duplicate appointmentsResolve and / or communicate any discrepanciesEnsure Magellan / Tricare hours do not exceed the thresholdAssist in collecting, posting, and monitor patient accountsRecognize problems and communicates them to appropriate personnelPerforms other duties as assigned by administrator / office managerQualifications
Experience with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) highly preferredKnowledge of and proficiency in computer programs, i.e., Microsoft word, excel, adobe and experience with database managementAnalytical and critical thinking; ability to think outside the box to resolve issuesKnowledge of Central Reach preferredHigh school graduate or GED program preferredWhat We Offer
