Maintenance Technician (Wyandanch)

The Maintenance Technician will report directly to the Manager of Buildings and Grounds. The duties of the position shall include, but are not limited to, the following :

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform minor electrical work including but not limited to replacing outlets, ballasts, switches, light bulbs, and working with contractors.
• Perform minor plumbing work including but not limited to unclogging drain lines, fixture replacement, and working with contractors.
• Perform basic HVAC repairs and maintenance, and work with contractors.
• Perform general service duties including but not limited to cleaning and painting mechanical rooms and developing inventory tool storage.
• Respond to tenant and resident request for services.
• Assist in the development and implementation of preventative maintenance program, energy management system, and property management software.
• Prepare vacant apartments for move-in through turnover repairs and improvements.
• Preserve general upkeep and cleanliness of the community through grounds maintenance and snow removal, if necessary.
• Adhere to applicable building, county and safety codes / standards.
