Responsibilities :
As a Internal Auditor, your primary role will be to provide independent and objective evaluations of our financial and operational business activities. You will be responsible for :
1. Conducting regular internal audits to assess the effectiveness of internal controls, accuracy of financial records, and efficiency of operations.
2. Identifying potential areas of operational risk and making recommendations for improvement.
3. Preparing detailed reports on audit findings and making recommendations to senior management.
4. Ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations as well as industry standards.
5. Collaborating with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
6. Conducting follow-up audits to monitor management’s interventions.
7. Engaging in continuous knowledge development regarding sector’s rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques and performance standards.
Qualifications :
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications :
1. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is required.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in auditing, preferably in the energy industry.
3. Experience with Big 4 is highly desirable.
4. Exceptional knowledge of risk assessment, internal controls, operational audit, and financial audit.
5. Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to interpret complex financial data.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
7. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
8. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
9. High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
