Assistant Director Of Conversions
The New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) is the nation's oldest and largest public housing authority with more than 152,000 apartments and over 370,000 residents. NYCHA's mission is to provide quality housing for New Yorkers that is sustainable, inclusive, and safe, while fostering opportunities for economic mobility. Under the direction of the Deputy Director for Conversions within the Public Housing Tenancy Operations department ("PHTO"), and with latitude for independent judgment, the Assistant Director of Conversions will oversee and manage PHTO activities related to preparing Public Housing tenancies for conversion to Project-Based Section 8 as part of two major NYCHA modernization programs : Permanent Affordability Commitment Together (PACT) and the Housing Preservation Trust (Trust). This is a critical position on a dynamic team that prioritizes collaboration, excellent communication, operational and procedural knowledge, and an ability to proactively assess and mitigate issues. Great organization, detail-orientation and ability to drive multiple projects independently and within deadline are a must.
