Job Description
Saronic Technologies is a leader in revolutionizing defense autonomy at sea, dedicated to developing state-of-the-art solutions that enhance maritime operations for the Department of Defense (DoD) through autonomous and intelligent platforms.
Job Overview :
We are seeking a Mechanical Integration Engineer to join our multidisciplinary engineering team. This role is focused on the integration of complex subsystems within larger mechanical assemblies. You will work at the intersection of mechanical, electrical, optical, and sensing systems— ensuring cohesive, manufacturable, and reliable integration into the overall platform. Your work will involve everything from packaging sensitive electronics and routing cabling to designing payload interfaces, access panels, and mounting hardware. This is a critical role that connects disciplines, closes gaps between component and system-level thinking, and ensures functional harmony across subsystems.

- Design, develop, and integrate mechanical solutions for electronics packaging, optical systems sensor mounts, payloads, and cabling infrastructure
- Own the mechanical interface and installation approach for subsystems and components into the larger vehicle or product assembly
- Drive layout of bulkheads, hatches, brackets, and access features, ensuring manufacturability, serviceability, and reliability
- Manage cable routing and support mechanical considerations for harness design in close coordination with electrical engineering
- Support system-level design reviews, integration planning, and cross-functional design efforts
- Create detailed design documentation including GD&T, stack-ups, assembly drawings, and integration procedures
- Provide tolerance studies, participate in environmental and vibration testing, and resolve integration-related design issues
- Contribute to prototype build support and hands-on problem solving during integration and test phases
