The Infant / Toddler Teacher is responsible for preparing lesson plans that include indoor and outdoor activities specifically designed for each infant's / toddler's own needs, interests, and schedules. The EHS Teacher provides multicultural materials and activities, family-style meals, and documents parent communications regarding the infant / toddlers' functions and activities. The Teacher maintains constant contact with families and works with all other agencies (Health, Nutrition, Parent Education, and resources referred) to integrate services into the family setting.

The Teacher will create and manage an appealing, warm, and challenging environment. The Teacher organizes the classroom according to developmental levels and the individual needs of each infant / toddler. The Teacher will ensure that diaper changing and toilet training functions are safe, sanitary, and developmentally appropriate. The Teacher relates to infants / toddlers in a calm, caring, nurturing, and soothing manner. The EHS Teacher also conducts developmental screenings and assessments.
