The ideal candidate will have a solid background in complex litigation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities :
Draft, proofread, and format legal documents including pleadings, discovery responses, motions, and correspondence
File documents electronically in state and federal courts (e-filing experience required)
Maintain case calendars, deadlines, and attorney schedules
Coordinate depositions, client meetings, and other litigation-related activities
Manage document production and organize case files
Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court staff, and vendors professionally and efficiently
Handle administrative duties such as time entry, billing assistance, and expense reporting
Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with firm procedures and court rules
Qualifications :
Minimum of 3 years' experience as a litigation legal assistant, insurance defense and / or commercial litigation (strongly preferred)
Proficient in MS Office Suite, legal document management systems, and court filing portals
Strong knowledge of legal terminology, court procedures, and e-filing requirements
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work independently under tight deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills
