The Inbound Operations Manager is a dynamic leader responsible for strategically implementing inbound operations and managing inventory control at their distribution center. This role ensures that all inbound teams, operations, and activities are adequately managed and comply with safety and regulatory standards. The Inbound Operations Manager ensures that strategic priorities are executed across all inbound activities while fostering a culture of engagement, empowerment, and problem-solving among team members.
Essential Functions
- Oversee inbound operations by establishing strategic performance goals, tracking the productivity of all inbound teams, and addressing issues as they arise.
- Directs the strategic execution of inbound operations, ensuring the efficient organization of inbound freight (scheduling and unloading), receiving dock activities, stocking, housekeeping, maintenance, inventory control, and adherence to safety protocols.
- Evaluates and prepares processes, staffing needs, and action plans to achieve departmental objectives.
- Tracks and drives daily completion of receiving schedule inbound freight from vendors and maintains inbound reconciliation of FTZ software.
- Manages daily consolidation and stocking strategies by overseeing the scheduling of incoming freight to ensure all products are successfully stored in designated locations.
- Develops warehouse layout and storage methods to enhance efficiency and optimize space utilization.
- Conducts physical inventory counts, reconciles discrepancies between system records and actual stock, and implements measures to maintain high inventory accuracy.
- Generates regular inventory reports, including key performance indicators (KPIs) like stock turnover, fill rate, and inventory shrinkage, to identify areas for improvement.
- Ensures proper use and maintenance of equipment, securing buildings daily, and monitoring employees to prevent unauthorized removal of merchandise.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a warehouse environment where higher levels of noise, dust, and activity can be expected. This is a non-temperature-controlled warehouse where temperatures can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter. There is frequent exposure to moving parts.Physical Demands
The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds.Travel Required
