As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol - Retail in Donna, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more.

As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail locations to help create a secure environment for customers and staff. This role involves conducting routine patrols, staying visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service. You will be responsible for armed duties and may be required to drive as part of your daily responsibilities. Pay Rate : $14.00 / Hour

Job Schedule :

DayTimeMon 02 : 00 PM - 11 : 30 PM

Thur 02 : 00 PM - 11 : 30 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Monitor for suspicious behavior and report any security-related concerns or incidents according to company protocols.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter theft, vandalism, and / or other unwanted activity within the retail environment.
  • Interact with employees, customers, and / or visitors in a courteous and professional manner, addressing inquiries and providing assistance as needed.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and / or activities during each shift.
  • Follow all Allied Universal policies and procedures, as well as any site-specific instructions provided by the client.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • A current armed guard card or license is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Level III armed certification is required for positions in Texas only.
  • Applicants must be able to ride a bike if required by the post assignment.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
