Security Professional - Armed Patrol - Retail Site

As a Security Professional - Armed Patrol - Retail Site in Edinburg, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more.

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a strong presence throughout a dynamic retail location. Your responsibilities will include monitoring assigned areas, responding to incidents, and delivering exceptional customer service. This position requires both armed and driving qualifications, offering you the opportunity to play a key role in supporting a welcoming and secure environment. Pay Rate : $14.00 / Hour

Job Schedule :

DayTime : Mon 05 : 30 PM - 11 : 30 PM, Tue 05 : 30 PM - 11 : 30 PM, Wed 05 : 30 PM - 11 : 30 PM, Fri 05 : 30 PM - 11 : 30 PM, Sat 05 : 30 PM - 11 : 30 PM, Sun 05 : 30 PM - 11 : 30 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using sound judgment and communication skills.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas within the retail location to help to deter unauthorized access and / or suspicious behavior.
  • Document and report all incidents, observations, and / or irregularities according to Allied Universal protocols.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and / or emergency responders as needed during critical events.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the retail location to provide reassurance to clients, employees, and visitors.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • An active armed guard card or license is required in accordance with applicable state and / or local laws and regulations.
  • Level III armed certification is required for positions in Texas only.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
