Job Title : Applications Engineer - Rotating Equipment

Location : Houston, TX

Type : Contract To Hire

Compensation : $34 / hr - $43 / hr DOE

Contractor Work Model : Onsite

Position Summary

The Applications Engineer serves as a critical liaison between the customer, sales, and engineering teams. This role provides both pre-sales and post-sales technical support with a focus on reciprocating compressors used in the oil & gas industry.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 2+ years of experience in mechanical systems, preferably involving reciprocating compressors or similar equipment.
• Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals with the ability to analyze and interpret performance data and mechanical drawings.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Highly organized, self-motivated, and collaborative team player.
• Willing and able to travel domestically and occasionally internationally as required.

Experience supporting reciprocating compressors in oil & gas applications.

Essential Job Functions

Serve as the technical point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders on applications involving reciprocating compressor valves and related systems.
