Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Med Surg Discipline : RN Start Date : 12 / 01 / 2025 Duration : 16 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, nights Employment Type : Travel Job ID : 60441359 Position : RN - Observation Unit / MS / TELE / ONC Location : James, OH Shift : Night, 3x12-Hour (19 : 00 - 07 : 30) - D / N option available Assignment Length : 13-16 weeks Guaranteed Hours : Yes Job Description : Join the Observation Unit providing care for patients with anticipated short stays (up to two midnights). This unit focuses on high-quality, efficient care without premature discharge or admission. Patients are stable, boarded from the ED or ICC, and unlikely to require an upgrade in care. Special Procedures / Unit Details : Ratio : 1 : 4 with charge RN in assignment Other staff : RNs, PCAs, UCAs Occasional float to James ED to assist with Med / Surg tele patients Orientation provided (72 hours) Use of Alaris pumps, EPIC documentation, telemetry monitoring Requirements : Certifications Required : BLS (AHA) Certifications Preferred : ACLS OCN Experience : Minimum 2 years RN experience Accepts first-time travelers Charting System : Epic Education : ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program Reference Requirements : 2 professional references required At least 1 from a manager / director or formal supervisor Former employees eligible after 6 months away from facility Current employees ineligible for travel assignment About Care Career Care Career brings together a portfolio of leading healthcare staffing organizations, each delivering specialized talent solutions across the industry.
