Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload to meet deadlines. Eagerness to learn and grow in the construction industry. Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and terminology. With a commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction, we specialize in multi-family construction. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Junior Construction Estimator.
Responsibilities :
- Assist Director of Estimating + Purchasing in preparing accurate and timely cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to understand the scope of work and identify project requirements.
- Conduct quantity take-offs and measurements from drawings and other project documents.
- Research and analyze vendor and subcontractor quotes to ensure competitiveness and accuracy.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimates.
- Utilize estimating software and tools to organize and maintain estimating data and documentation.
- Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and presentations for clients.
- Support the procurement team in negotiating prices with vendors and subcontractors.
- Stay updated on industry trends, construction materials, and labor costs to ensure estimates reflect current market conditions.
