Our client, a leader in marine engine and propulsion systems and power generation equipment, seeks a Sr Controls Project Engineer to apply their technical expertise in industrial power generation, process plants, and automation systems. The role can be based in the New Orleans area, Ft Lauderdale, or Washington state (willing to relocate the right candidate). It will be responsible for designing, developing, and integrating high-performance control systems as well as leading projects from concept to execution ensuring optimal performance of control systems in mission-critical applications.

• Lead and execute the design, testing, and integration of engine / turbine control systems for land-based applications and marine applications for the upgrade and retrofit of existing equipment.
• Troubleshoot and optimize control systems for engines, turbines, generators, vessels, and switchgear.
• Program PLCs, HMIs and SCADA systems.
• Mentor and train junior engineers.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including detailed work scopes.
• Travel (mostly domestic) up to 25% for onsite commissioning, troubleshooting, and client support.
