Job Description
Labor Attorney
Labor attorneys represent clients with legal issues related to their employment, such as workplace safety, disability, employee leave, harassment, discrimination, wrongful termination, and more. Candidates should have strong written and verbal communication skills, extensive knowledge of relevant laws, and excellent research and negotiation abilities. Law Offices Of Manuel Solis seeks experienced labor attorneys to expand our team. If you have experience in labor disputes involving employers or employees, this role may be suitable for you.
Typical duties and responsibilities
- Advise and counsel clients on employment-related legal issues.
- Litigate cases in court and before agencies like the EEOC.
- Draft and review employment agreements, contracts, policies, and employee handbooks.
Education and experience
Juris Doctorate and a license to practice law in Texas are required. Coursework in history, government, labor law, legal writing, and contracts is preferred.
