Desktop Support Technician

Overview

We are hiring IT Technicians for a 3-month project to image, deploy and ship IT equipment to customers. The Configuration Technician will perform pre-configuration of equipment prior to shipping. Technicians will then complete quality checks in accordance with documented instructions. Finally, equipment will be validated to ensure functioning equipment prior to shipment. This position is an entry level role with opportunities for advancement in the IT industry.

Responsibilities

• Follow specific written work instructions to efficiently provision and configure IT devices and otherwise prepare for device deployment based on customer requirements.
• Complete basic kitting of equipment based on customer requirements.
• Unbox, re-box and process equipment for shipping.
• Clean, test, and inspect IT devices.
• Escalate technical or other issues to your immediate supervisor.
• Participate in internal departmental and project meetings.
• Offer suggestions on improving processes and efficiencies.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Consistently follow documented processes to maintain a high degree of quality in work product and customer satisfaction.
• All assigned work must be completed in a timely and cost efficient manner.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.50 / hr.
