Accounting Manager – Hybrid

Are you an experienced Accounting Manager who is ready to take ownership of financial operations and employee support functions in a growing, 40 person, multi-state organization? We’re seeking a driven and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our corporate office team at Industrial Equipment Company .

    • What You’ll Do

    As the Accounting Manager , you’ll oversee financial health and reconciliations, payroll, employee lifecycle and financial processes, benefits administration and compliance and regulatory reporting.

    You’ll lead a team of four (AP, AR, Invoicing, and Reception) and you will be responsible for :

    Financial Leadership

  • Managing month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
  • Preparing monthly financial packages and annual reports for CPA filings
  • Overseeing payroll (via Paycom), commissions, and bonus processing
  • Ensuring compliance with state, federal, and regulatory reporting requirements

    • HR & Benefits Administration

  • Processing payroll accurately and on time, including employee record updates
  • Supporting onboarding, terminations, PTO accruals, and compliance with labor laws
  • Managing annual benefits enrollment and renewals (health, 401k, Life, AD&D, LTD, STD, COBRA)
  • Providing responsive support to employees for payroll and benefits inquiries
  • Assisting managers with progressive discipline and compliance matters

    • Strategic & Team Leadership

  • Partnering with the CEO and management team on financial and operational initiatives
  • Leading and developing your accounting / support team across multiple locations
  • Driving operational efficiency and cross-department collaboration

    • What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)
  • 5+ years of Accounting Management experience in $20M+ annual revenue companies
  • Proven leadership experience managing accounting and HR / payroll functions
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience overseeing P&L and driving operational efficiency

  • Excellent communicator with ability to support cross-functional teams

  • Salary : $120,000 – $140,000, commensurate with experience
